The logging truck in this picture reminded me of how we haul our unprocessed emotions, faulty thinking and false beliefs along with us through life never realizing that they are affecting our health, happiness and inner peace.

Last week I wrote a lot about the root chakra and how it affects our lives. After writing about all that it occurred to me that another important element to realize is that the health of the root chakra profoundly affects our perception of reality. A healthy root chakra offers a strong foundation for clear perception about ourselves, our work, intuition, purpose and relationships…simply put, an unbalanced or weak root does not!
Old memories, mistaken beliefs and unprocessed emotions can all create “wobbles” in our energy systems that block clarity€¦.we may see what we want to see instead of what is really there– be it people, places or circumstances. Our judgment about what is good for us, healthy or life enhancing is clouded.
Relationships are perhaps the arena where this is most pronounced. Have you ever had the experience of getting into a relationship only to find out later that it is not what you thought€¦.the person who is now standing in front of you is not who you thought they were? I sure have and it was not pretty! In addition, it was then complicated and a lot more painful than if I had had greater awareness and been firmly centered within my own Being.
This same dynamic can operate as regards our work, friendships, intuition and even life purpose. It is relatively easy and even pleasant to use energetic techniques, but it can be hard to deal with the resulting clarity, and face the reality of our situations/lives/selves. It is then that we must often make difficult choices and make changes that challenge us. It takes courage to do our inner work, discover our truth and live from present moment awareness– from the inside out. However, I think if we all think about it, it saves us a lot of pain, chaos, confusion and heartache in the long run! What do you think?
