Self Care to Recharge Mind, Body and Spirit
Caring for others, as a profession or for an elderly parent, relative, child, or friend, is one of the highest forms of service. You may love care-giving but may also find it increasingly difficult to recharge your energy. The demands of care-giving can wear you down and out. Energy and enthusiasm can fade as physical and emotional exhaustion set in. It may seem the more you give, the more that is requested or required of you.
Do you ever feel that. . .
It’s harder to keep up your pace?
Your nerves are wearing thin?
You are doing less and less for yourself?
Do you wonder…
Where is there care for me?
What’s happened to me, to my life?
How to stop the downward spiral of my well-being?
Do you feel guilty for even having those thoughts! You are not alone!
We have walked a caregiver’s path personally and professionally. We understand the rewards and just plain hard work involved. We’ve also learned that mind, body and spirit need care and nurturing. Expending care and attention on others requires resources to recharge and renew yourself.
