Suffering and Denied Pain
“The reason that people find it so difficult to enter a healing relationship is that life in our family of origin often required a good deal of unawareness. We overlook what we don’t want to see; we keep silent about things that are too difficult to discuss; we respect boundaries even when they put someone in a box. In short, the family is where we learn to deny pain. And denied pain is just another term for suffering …given a choice, most people would rather preserve their relationships than stop suffering.”
~ Deepak Chopra, The Book of Secrets
Beliefs Formed early in Life Help or Hinder
We form patterns in our early environments that become our automatic reactions and repeated responses
to situations and events throughout our lives. We all have beliefs about the key areas of life: safety, survival,
relationships, money, self image, power, entitlement, love, self expression and spirituality. These beliefs can serve us or block us depending on the circumstances involved when and how they were formed.
If we are to be truly free to create lives that are the unique manifestation of our individual BEING, then it is essential to identify our mistaken beliefs, and authentic values and release what interferes with openly embracing our own strong, passionately alive consciousness.
Our early beginnings did not just inflict wounding. They helped us develop certain strengths, and provided opportunities to grow and learn in ways we may not have without those circumstances. We can recognize and be grateful for the strengths and growth as we enter into the process of uncovering and clearing old beliefs.
It is simply part of our task as adults to excavate and explore our deeper nature and understand the foundation on which we are living our lives. Is the foundation ours or someone else’s?
We all have an inner Self that needs its bumps and bruises attended to so it can come into the full light of day and live in freedom.
An Antidote to Suffering
Self knowledge sets the stage to letting go of suffering
Information regarding our internal state is always coming to us through our physical, emotional and mental faculties.
Our energy system can offer a great deal of useful data if we take the time to learn how to comprehend it.
Awareness re: how various aspects of the mind communicate with us: the conscious mind is aware of concepts and ideas; the subconscious speaks through feelings or lack of them.
The body clearly tells us what is happening in our subconscious mind if we know how to listen.
Higher awareness tends to speak through imagery, subtle sensing, or an unmistakable kind of knowing when you sincerely request to know the truth of a matter.
Human Chakra System is a Map of Consciousness that Promotes Healthy Self Knowledge
The human energy and chakra system are the vehicles through which we develop and encode our life experience into our cellular memory, so they provide us with a very useful, simple and organized way to look at our values and beliefs as well as with a means to understand how beliefs affect the organization of our energies.
