Judgement, Surrender, Acceptance Point to Deep Aspects of Self Care
Years ago my therapist spoke to me about “persistent kindness to the self”. At the time I understood the basic concept but REALLY did not grasp how it pertained to the deeper aspects of ourselves. As time went by it became apparent that to me that self care was an issue that goes way deeper than our usual ways of thinking about it.
The Unexamined Life?
Our innermost being holds all our memories. We vibrate according to the emotional tone we hold deep inside. We may not be consciously aware of this emotional tone but it is nevertheless there and affecting our energy and thus all aspects of our lives.
We are meant to feel but may not be aware of how to allow emotions to move fluidly through our system. The result is that they get repressed or stuck and create endless emotional loops that cause difficulties for us.
Issues, Energy, and Emotional Freedom
Working with the qualities of surrender and acceptance and learning to release regrets and judgments helps to develop and maintain a strong energetic signature.
Surrender helps to free up deep feelings of struggle and conflict. Surrender helps to bring our hearts into coherence and generates inner peace.
Acceptance of the way things ARE enables us to move beyond patterns of resistance and brings more peace to our heart.
Regrets are a yearning type of energy (yearning for something that is not there or yearning for something that once was or will never be). Regrets are about the past and keep us from fully being in the present. Regrets drag our energy down.
Any given situation or person can be seen from multiple perspectives. When we judge, we lock into unyielding energy and block creative change. Opening to broader and more inclusive perspectives frees up energy. Surrender, acceptance, letting go of regrets and judgments are all interconnected.
Surrender allows for the development of inner strength.
Acceptance help to open the heart and create coherent energy.
Letting go of judgement releases negative energy.
We bring new attitudes and perspectives into our reality through practice. We can begin to choose preferred emotional experiences while we actively notice and let go of difficult feelings/beliefs.
