The Aura Mind-Body-Spirit Connection
The human aura can be thought of as your primary immune system in that it is a primary way that you experience and interact with your environment. This is unconscious in most cases but nevertheless real.
The human aura is made up varying frequencies that clairvoyants see as color. You do not have to be clairvoyant to know the state of your energy. Your feelings can tell you a lot about your aura. For instance, when you feel tired or irritable, then your energy reserve is low. When someone says, “I feel blue”, the color of your aura will be predominantly blue and lack the warmer colors that add vitality. Conversely when someone “Sees red” their aura has a lot of the vibration our eye sees as red. In both these cases there is an emotional state associated with the predominate energy. Aura Changes and Characteristics
In most people the colors of the aura, along with it’s clarity, size and shape, change throughout the day in response to the environment, level of activity and experiences. Beneath these changes, however, lies a relatively stable “energetic signature,” a blueprint that reflects our unique qualities, inner development, attributes and beliefs.
Your auric blueprint determines your ability to take in new, vitalizing energies (and thus remain healthy and open to growth) and cushions you from harmful, devitalizing experiences (and, hence, fall victim to illness and stagnancy).
Dr. Valerie Hunt in her research at UCLA found that some people’s auras have complex patterns of energy with a lot of variability, and other people’s auras have simple patterns of energy with little variability. Dr. Hunt found that people who have complex and variable auras can usually adapt and accept change more easily than those with simple patterns. The downside for the complex, very malleable aura folks is that they may have difficulty making decisions or staying with a choice.
Dr. Hunt found that people with stoic auras tend to have less interaction with and less ability to take in other energies. On one hand, this quality stops them from being adversely affected by noxious external stimuli, but it can also prevent them from being positively affected by outside sources.
Feeding Your Aura
Finally, Dr. Hunt found that human auras expand very noticeably with exposure to nature, the sea, water (pools or showers) and grass beneath bare feet, and that one’s sense of well-being improves with this expansion.
On the opposite side of the coin, Dr. Hunt found that negative environmental factors contract human auras and cause people to feel out-of-sorts, irritable or overwhelmed. We all know that we tend to feel better after having spent some time in nature, but it is interesting to know that there is a scientific reason for it!
A healthy aura contains all the necessary frequencies, flows freely within and between chakras and has consistent amounts of energy in all areas. Inconsistencies in one’s aura, which are primarily due to negative life experiences, can show where mental/emotional disturbances are and where physical problems may manifest in the future if the issue is not remedied.
There are many ways to care for your energy field. Begin by simply becoming more aware, getting out in nature and giving yourself some downtown time throughout the day. Another approach is to meditate regularly while incorporating healthy breath-work and a process to release stress and tension. Imagery is a great way to revitalize your energy and add strength, vitality and healing to your field.
