Our energy system is the primary way we interface with the world. Our field is affected first, then our nervous system comes into play transmitting our reaction through the rest of our systems…for good or ill
So if we are aware and know how to manage energy then we are ahead of the game in terms of being able to manage stress, our lives, relationships and health.
Our reactivity to external events whether they are things happening here and now in our lives or are from the news, TV or internet all have an effect on us invisible or not. It is something we need to pay attention to if we wish to have any degree of positive impact on our health, selves, relationships and lives.
Stress is always with us. It is a fact of life. If we do not take care to intervene in our natural responses to sterss then it will i time manaifesmaan n our last blog post we spoke about the high level of stress and the need to have a “self- care plan” to deal with it. Stress causes changes within our energy system that can produce minor and major “energy crises”.
Stress creates a disruption of energy flow
When there is a bottleneck in the flow of energy throughout the body- mind, somewhere within that energy is slowed, stopped or blocked, a logjam is created. Problems then emerge at the site of the logjam and sometimes downstream from this site as well. At the least the restriction results in a depletion of energy. More chronically, blockages, distortions and depletions within the energy system lead to physical and psychological problems.
The simplest way to deal with these energetic disturbances is to engage a technique that allows for release and return to balance. This is best done early in the cycle and is most effective when we also have a preventative practice involving meditation/deep relaxation.
Emotional Intelligence Linked to Energetic Flow and Frequency
Being tuned into how you are feeling as you move through your day begins the process of being able to keep your energy flowing. Once you are aware of pressure or tension beginning you can use a minor “block” through mindfully focused breathing and creating a feeling of space where there was tightness. If this is not effective, or you don’t think of it at the time, later you can give yourself twenty minutes of deep relaxation/meditation to release stress and repair your energy.
Our downloadable recording, Relaxation 101 is a twenty minute guided relaxation/meditation that can brings you through a process that melts away stress and helps to restore, reboot and replenish your energy.
In addition to giving you the much needed time to decompress, it also helps condition your mind and body to respond with greater neutrality to stress in the future.
