How to Restore Ease and Balance in Times of Change

Change can be navigated more easily when root chakra energy is strong and balanced.

Our energy and nervous systems —the state of our inner nation—-determines how we will experience, process, and respond to change. The strength, resonance and alignment of our personal energy also affect what and how we will create in our new world.

Over the past few decades we have all been challenged to adapt, change and adjust to a transforming world. Global shifts are affecting everyone. We each are being shaken, confronted with an opportunity to wake up!
Waking up means expanding consciousness and living from a broader awareness. It is about clarity, reality without illusion, letting go of old modes of accommodation that limit and contract energy and possibility. It is about living from an authentic inner core and participating in the creation of a new world.
This is not necessarily about being a revolutionary on a global level (unless you feel called to operate on that level). What it is about is taking care of our own corner of the world. Self care contributes to the whole. We can each learn to manage our energy and grow in consciousness so we can respond to life from strength rather than react from fear during times of change.

Change typically begins with the erosion, dissolution or destruction of the old. This is naturally accompanied by feelings of anxiety, confusion and fear as foundations crumble and roots are shaken or torn out altogether. We can get stuck here if we do not have inner resources to draw from and support us.

Understanding and utilizing the energy of the root chakra can make the process of moving through change one of greater ease and grace. Focusing on healing and building new energy in the root chakra builds a new, strong foundation for life as well as for times of change.

Chakras are “mini brains” that are  in intimate conversation with our nervous and endocrine systems. They orchestrate mind body communication, health, vitality and our expression in the world.

Next post discusses Root Chakra and how it specifically relates to health and mental and emotional well being.
