How the Human Aura Behaves
Medicine routinely measures the output of body systems but it is only recently that scientists have developed the instrumentation that enables perception of the human aura.
Human Aura, Mental Phenomena and Consciousness
Dr. Valerie Hunt, a neurophysiologist at UCLA, has studied energy extensively and has detected an electromagnetic field beyond the electrical field of the body systems generally measured by medicine.
This field was measured and found to be smaller in amplitude, but higher in frequency and eight to ten times faster than any other biological electricity. This field is associated with mental phenomena and human consciousness.
Hunt also found the electrical activities of this energy field to be continuous in movement while the heartbeat, brainwaves, nerve transmission, and muscle contractions are intermittent.
Human Aura and Continuous Change
All aspects of the aura change continuously in response to our environment, activity level, and experiences. However, beneath these changes, lies a relatively stable “energetic signature,” a blueprint that reflects our unique qualities, inner development, attributes, and beliefs.
Our auric blueprint determines our ability to take in new, vitalizing energies to remain healthy and open to growth. It also serves to cushion us from harmful, devitalizing experiences that can lead to stagnation and illness. In many ways it can be thought of as our primary immune system.
Human Aura: Flexibility, Stoicism and Change
Dr. Hunt has found that some people’s auras have complex patterns of energy with a lot of variability and other people’s auras have simple patterns of energy with little variability. People with complex and variable auras usually can adapt and accept change more easily than those who do not. On the downside, people with very flexible auras often have difficulty making decisions or staying with a choice. In contrast, Hunt found that people with stoic auras tend to have less ability to interact with and take in other/new energies. This quality keeps them from being adversely affected by noxious external stimuli, but it can also prevent them from being positively affected by outside sources.
Negative and Positive Environmental effects
Another interesting finding (that you will recognize) is that human auras expand very noticeably with exposure to nature, the sea, water (pools or showers), and grass beneath bare feet, and our sense of well-being improves with this expansion. In which environments have you experienced this?
On the opposite side of the coin, negative environmental factors contract human auras and cause people to feel out-of-sorts, irritable, or overwhelmed. This is information we can all make use of everyday with the choices we make. Hunt’s research findings indicate that a healthy aura contains all the necessary frequencies, flows freely within and between chakras, and has relatively consistent amounts of energy in all areas.
Inconsistencies in our auras are often due to negative life experiences. These inconsistencies seem to first show as mental and emotional challenges. If left unaddressed, they may contribute to physical problems in the future. With this in mind, it is not hard to see that if we take care of our issues at the energetic/mental/emotional levels we can positively affect our overall health and well being.
