The voice in our head tends toward the negative. I think it is a bias of the brain to try to keep us safe and out of harms way. If you are unaware of this voice you may need to spend some time in silence and become aware of the chatter that goes on below normal consciousness. For some the voice may not be a voice at all but a habitual feeling state.
